- You must return the vehicle on time, with the agreed fuel or charge level, and in substantially the same condition.
- You are responsible for traffic tickets, tolls, towing, impound fees, and policy violations connected to your trip.
- Additional charges may apply for late return, refueling or recharging, excess cleaning, missing items, or damage outside normal wear.
- No smoking, racing, off-road use, illegal activity, unauthorized delivery use, or use by anyone not approved for the booking.
- Accidents, theft, warning lights, and police or roadside incidents must be reported to Vubo immediately.
- Damage or condition issues discovered at or after return must be reported no later than 24 hours after trip end.
- The vehicle provider must activate any required MPI rental coverage for the rental period, and you must comply with all insurance conditions and authorized-driver rules.
- Your selected damage protection plan affects liability, but it does not remove your duty to follow the rental rules and insurance requirements.
Who This Agreement Covers
This Rental Agreement applies to each completed booking made through Vubo. It supplements Vubo's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and governs the renter's trip-specific responsibilities for the booked vehicle.
Insurance & Compliance
- The vehicle provider must activate any required MPI rental coverage for the rental period before the trip begins.
- The renter must comply with all insurance conditions, including lawful use, approved drivers, and applicable reporting requirements.
- Coverage eligibility can be affected by prohibited use, unlawful driving, unauthorized drivers, fraud, or failure to follow booking and insurance requirements.
Driver Eligibility & Verification
- The renter must provide accurate identity, licence, and payment information.
- Only drivers approved by Vubo may operate the vehicle.
- The renter must remain legally licensed and fit to drive for the full trip.
- The renter must present valid government-issued ID and a matching driver's license before pickup or handover.
- Vubo or the vehicle provider may refuse or delay vehicle handover if identity, licence status, or booking eligibility cannot be verified.
Vehicle Use Rules
- The vehicle may only be used for lawful personal transportation unless Vubo expressly approves another use.
- No racing, track use, off-road use, towing, sub-renting, smoking, unauthorized delivery or commercial use, or illegal activity is permitted.
- The renter must follow posted restrictions, telematics-based safety instructions, and reasonable care standards throughout the trip.
Condition, Return, and Trip Closeout
- The renter must return the vehicle at the agreed time and designated handoff method unless Vubo approves a change.
- Fuel or battery level must be returned at the same level provided at pickup, subject to any disclosed trip rules.
- The renter is responsible for excess cleaning, missing accessories, and condition issues beyond ordinary wear.
Charges and Liability
- The renter is responsible for trip charges accepted at booking, including rental price, secure access fee, taxes, and selected protection charges.
- The renter is also responsible for tickets, tolls, towing, impound, late return fees, refueling or recharging costs, cleaning charges, and damage-related amounts allowed by law and disclosed policies.
- The selected damage protection plan may cap certain liability amounts, but policy breaches, prohibited use, fraud, or uninsured conduct can still expose the renter to additional recovery claims where permitted.
Accidents, Damage, and Insurance Compliance
- Any accident, theft, vandalism, warning light, police stop, roadside event, or safety incident must be reported to Vubo immediately.
- Damage or condition issues discovered at or after return must be reported no later than 24 hours after trip end.
- The renter must cooperate with incident reporting, photos, police reporting when required, insurer requests, and claims handling.
- The renter must comply with applicable Manitoba insurance, licensing, and vehicle-use requirements for the trip.
- The renter remains responsible for deductibles, fees, and damage-related costs to the extent allowed by law and the accepted booking terms.
Telematics and Enforcement
- Vubo may use connected-vehicle data, access logs, timestamps, and other trip records to operate the booking, protect the vehicle, and investigate incidents.
- Violation of this agreement may result in booking cancellation, refusal of future rentals, additional charges, or claim escalation.
